Brittany occupies a unique position in the national e-health landscape. Supported by a particularly dense network of public and private stakeholders, the region has, over the past several years, built a cohesive digital health ecosystem, fueled by strong partnerships between hospitals, medical-social facilities, research laboratories, and innovative companies. The Brittany Regional e-Health Group (GCS e-Santé Bretagne) serves as the backbone of this organization: it coordinates the deployment of digital solutions tailored to the needs of Brittany’s healthcare professionals, ensures the consistency of the regional infrastructure, and supports institutions in their digital transition, from primary care through to specialized care.

What sets Brittany apart is the network-based approach that underpins all of its initiatives. Projects are not developed in silos: they are part of a dynamic of regional cooperation where stakeholders in healthcare, digital technology, and research move forward together. Programs linked to the Ségur Digital Health Initiative have found fertile ground in Brittany, thanks to a regional culture of collaboration and a proven ability to deploy solutions at scale. As a result, healthcare professionals in Brittany benefit from digital services designed for their daily practice—including coordination tools, shared patient records, and telemedicine—while actively contributing to their continuous improvement.

For a project leader wishing to develop a digital health solution, Brittany offers a rare, supportive environment. The regional ecosystem combines the presence of centers of excellence, proximity to healthcare facilities open to experimentation, and access to concrete support mechanisms. It is precisely in this context that G_NIUS steps in: the National Hub for Innovation and e-Health Applications supports innovators at every stage of their project’s development, from identifying the right regional partners to guiding them toward appropriate funding, while also connecting them with local support organizations and helping structure the deployment process. In Brittany as elsewhere, G_NIUS acts as a compass in an institutional environment that may seem complex from the outside.
Whether it’s a healthcare startup looking to test its device with patients in Brittany, an institution seeking to develop a digital service offering, or a player in the medical-social sector committed to its digital transformation, the region has the resources, expertise, and networks to turn an idea into a concrete project. Brittany’s strength lies in its ability to combine local roots with digital ambition—two dimensions that G_NIUS works to highlight for every stakeholder stepping into the world of healthcare innovation.
