Regional "AI & Health" Competition

A competition for startups and students addressing a range of issues: AI, e-health, GDPR, design, ethics, and regional innovation.

GRADeS Centre-Val de Loire, in partnership with the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the La Salamandre Community of Health and Social Services (CPTS), is organizing a regional competition inviting students and startups to develop an artificial intelligence prototype capable of:

  • Analyze digitized paper medical documents,
  • Automatically extract key information,
  • Sort and index the documents,
  • Generate a structured medical summary in accordance with the Medical Summary Section (VSM).

Competition Schedule 

  • Through May 31, 2026: submission of applications
  • Through June 30, 2026: prototype development
  • July 2026: Presentations to a jury
  • September 30, 2026: Awards ceremony during the GRADeS Centre-Val de Loire Health Innovation Day. The winning prototypes will be presented at this event. 

Awards
Grand Prize: €5,000 (awarded in each category: students and startups)

Thematic prizes will also be awarded, notably for:

  • AI performance,
  • Medical relevance,
  • Ethics and the GDPR,
  • Design and usability.
