Accelerate reimbursement of digital medical devices (DMDs) therapeutic or telemedical monitoring activities.

Getting started

The PECAN allows derogatory reimbursement for one year by the Assurance Maladie for sufficiently mature solutions.
This anticipated phase allows the operator to finalize the demonstration of clinical and/or organizational benefit while being already reimbursed.

Milestones in the journey

I check if my digital medical device is eligible.

I submit my applications on the ANS's Convergence platform and the HAS's Sésame platform.

My admissibility is examined by the ANS and the HAS. I submit all my evidence on interoperability and safety requirements to the ANS. Then I receive the RA from the ministers.

My application is first studied by the CNEDiMTS and the ANS and then after validation on their part, it will be evaluated by the ministers.

Following validation by the ministers, I am reimbursed for one year before entering the common law.

Standard repayment phase

If my solution is a therapeutic digital MD, I have 6 months, from the start of anticipated coverage, to apply for registration on the list of products and services (LPP) in brand name.
If my solution is a telemonitoring activity, I have 9 months, from the start of anticipated coverage to make a request for registration on the list of medical telemonitoring activities (LATM) in generic line or brand name.
