Why apply to a competitiveness cluster for a project label?

In France, the label of a competitiveness cluster is considered by funders, in most calls for public R&D projects as an additional selection criterion.

Each cluster, depending on the call for projects, defines its labeling process. This enables project leaders to benefit from expert feedback before submitting their application to the funder, so that they can finalize it in the best possible way. The best projects in each cluster receive a label to be attached to their final dossier before submission to the State.
