Purpose of the system

Accelerate reimbursement for therapeutic digital medical devices (DMDs) or remote medical monitoring activities.
To get off to a good start
PECAN allows for one year of exceptional coverage by the French national health insurance system for sufficiently mature solutions.
This early phase allows the operator to finalize the demonstration of clinical and/or organizational benefits while already being reimbursed.

PECAN
Common law repayment phase
1. In view of the entry into common law, I am submitting my application for registration.
- If my solution is a digital therapeutic medical device, I have six months from the start of early coverage to apply for inclusion on the list of products and services (LPP) under a brand name.
- If my solution is a remote monitoring activity, I have nine months from the start of advance coverage to apply for registration on the list of medical remote monitoring activities (LATM) under a generic name or brand name.
2. The CNEDiMTS evaluates my file
- The evidence of clinical benefit or, failing that, progress in the organization of care in the case of remote monitoring provided by my solution and demonstrated in my file is evaluated by the HAS.
3. My solution gets permanent reimbursement
- If the decision of the ministers responsible for health and social security is favorable, my solution will be covered by common law for a period of several years, renewable. Before the expiration date, I will renew my request for coverage.
