Station [e]-Santé in partnership with the Networks (including REFeR-RYTHMO) launches its call for expressions of interest in digital medical devices

The Plan Innovation Santé 2030, supported by the government as part of France 2030, aims to make France a benchmark player in the field of innovation. It mobilizes unprecedented resources to support research, experimentation and market access for healthcare innovations.

In this context, two complementary calls for projects have been launched to support key infrastructures for the French healthcare innovation sector:

  • The call for projects "Networks for clinical investigations, medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices", which supports the structuring of specialized national networks to strengthen clinical evaluation capacity in France.
  • The "Tiers-lieux d'Expérimentation" call for projects, endowed with €30m over 4 years aims to structure multidisciplinary testing grounds for digital healthcare solutions.

These two schemes meet a common objective:accelerate the development, validation and market launch of French healthcare innovations, drawing on clinical expertise, methodological support, and experimentation facilities adapted to real-world use.

Building on its medical expertise, Bordeaux University Hospital is coordinator of three clinical investigation networks, winners of France 2030, aimed at strengthening clinical research and the evaluation of medical devices and in vitro diagnostics :

  • The REFeR-RYTHMO network, in the field of interventional rhythmology,
  • The UroDM network, in the fields of kidney cancer surgery, imaging and interventional radiology,
  • The POCER network, in the field of Point of Care Testing (POCT) in pre-hospital (SMUR) and in-hospital (emergency services) emergencies.

In parallel, Station [e]-Santé, a Tiers-Lieu d'expérimentation winner France 2030, accompanies digital innovations in healthcare in real-life conditions by offering a multidisciplinary framework for experimentation to evaluate the uses, acceptability, and impact of digital innovations in direct link with healthcare professionals, patients and industrial players.

In order to strengthen the synergy between clinical research and digital innovation, Station [e]-Santé and the three clinical investigation networks supported by Bordeaux University Hospital are joining forces to launch a common call for expressions of interest, focusing on development, experimentation and evaluation of medical deviceswith a high-impact digital component in the fields ofcardiology-rythmology,kidney cancer surgery, imaging, interventional radiologyanddislocated emergency biology.
