The identity repository is software that enables the creation/modification of identities. This is often patient administrative management (GAP/GAM) in healthcare establishments, practice management software (LGC) for the self-employed professional, laboratory management system (SGL) for laboratories, radiology information system (SIR) in imaging practices etc.
Please note: upstream solutions for booking appointments / pre-consultation / pre-admission, directly involving the user in managing his or her digital identity are akin to identity repository software.
It is a recipient of health data referenced with the INS from the same identification domain, or from a different identification domain.
- The software is not an identity repository: it does not create or modify identities. This action is performed by another software that is the identity repository in the structure.
- An identification domain is made up of a set of applications within an information system that identify the patient with the same digital identity through a common identity repository. For example, a healthcare facility, a GP practice, ... can be considered as an identification domain.
- This profile can be a slave software connected to the identity repository of a healthcare establishment, ,... It is mainly encountered in healthcare establishments, whose information system is made up of several software packages.
