The Health Data Hub, in partnership with the Délégation du numérique en santé and Bpifrance, encourages and participates in the organization of Data Challenges on medical themes, since 2020. Today,the Health Data Hub is sharing its experience and best practices so that potential project carriers can have all the keys in hand to launch their own healthcare Data Challenge.

A participative format to encourage the emergence of innovative solutions

The Data Challenges are data science competitions that aim to answer specific medical problems using the analysis of data made available. Ithe aim is to answer, in a given time, a specific data science problem using supervised learning solutions. These competitions take place online and are generally prediction, regression or classification problems.

This innovative, participatory approach is part of a collective intelligence and open science approach: the idea for organizers and competitors is to collaborate to reach the most advanced level of the scientific, statistical or technical problem posed.
