The electronic identification standards are open for consultation until 30 July 2021.
Order No. 2021-581 of 12 May 2021 on the electronic identification of users of eHealth services and health insurance beneficiaries has just been published. It describes the main principles of electronic identification for the health sector and integrates them into the Public Health Code.
In accordance with this order, the electronic identification standards that define the organisational and technical requirements to be implemented according to the type of user and the type of digital service in question are now subject to consultation until 30 July 2021.
They are divided into 3 "corridors", each of which corresponds to a document (natural persons involved in healthcare, legal entities involved in healthcare, and users) and are essentially based on the major guidelines already described in the 2020 technical framework for eHealth. However, some adjustments have been made in accordance with the recommendation of the CNIL (multi-factor authentication required in certain cases starting in 2022).
