CNIL steps up its support for high-potential digital companies

Three French companies will benefit from "enhanced support" over several months: Contentsquare, Hugging Face and Lifen. Legal and technical answers tailored to their projects will be provided in order toguide them towards full RGPD compliance, particularly when it comes to artificial intelligence.
Strong demand for support
A call for applications was launched last February to enable innovative companies to benefit from support from CNIL teams.
More than forty companies applied, with a wide variety of activities (artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, user experience analytics, health, voice biometrics, sound detectors, etc.).
Three selected winners will benefit from this support scheme
.CONTENTSQUARE:
Next40 member company, which provides its private and public customers with an AI-based service platform (SaaS) that collects and analyzes user data during their online journey in order to improve the user experience on websites and mobile applications.
HUGGING FACE:
High-tech company, which developed the most widely used community platform for collaboration on AI and machine learning.
LIFEN :
A company that simplifies access to medical data for healthcare players such as healthcare establishments and liberal practitioners. With an activity focused on interoperabilityand automatic language structuring. LIFEN ambitions to develop new solutions to facilitate the conduct of studies, evaluations or research in the healthcare field for healthcare professionals.
Support close to the needs of professionals
This support will be structured around 3 main modalities:
- aquick legal and technical support;
- a compliance review of implemented processing ;
- anawareness-raising campaign on data protection issues.
Companies not selected for this first session will be referred to other CNIL support tools or other contacts.
