The Tiers Lieu service offering
- Provide manufacturers with a complete service: technical and scientific feasibility study, usage study, clinical study, medico-economic analysis, market study and development of the minimum viable product.
- To become a central axis of inclusive and participatory innovation, by proposing a structuring of the entire research and development continuum of a product or service.
The MTL-TLE consortium proposes a unique offering in Francethat combines living lab methodologies, particularly design thinking, with engineering sciences, medical sciences, and the humanities and social sciences. Its main objective is to experiment and test new technologies and medical practices directly in the field. This is done through the active participation of users, healthcare professionals and researchers, enabling medical devices and services to be adapted to the real needs of each patient.
The MTL-TLE also aims to become a center for the training and dissemination of medical innovations, addressing the issue of technology adoption. By involving patients and healthcare professionals right from the design stage, these spaces promote the rapid appropriation of innovations and limit the risk of failure by guaranteeing user buy-in.
To ensure the effectiveness of these initiatives, thee MTL-TLE adopts an ethical and responsible approach, respecting in particular the confidentiality of patient data and taking care not to expose them to unnecessary risks.
The MTL-TLE is a member of the Forum des Living Labs en Santé et Autonomie (LLSA Forum) and the ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs), thus participating in a national and international network in the health and autonomy sector.
Tiers lieu projects
Project 1: MemoTLM project
Supplier : DYNSEO
Solution : Design and development of a serious game for the early detection of cognitive frailty.
Need : Identification of early-stage cognitive disorders in the elderly through a serious game (digital medium)
Tiers-Lieu contribution: The study will have made it possible to objectify the number of patients diagnosed and taken into care. It will also have identified the successes and obstacles to this innovative approach. The next step will be to remove these obstacles and/or adapt the treatment format to maximize the number of patients diagnosed and treated. The next step will be a comparative evaluation of the tool's contribution to the current situation in under-dense areas, and an assessment of its clinical, economic and organizational benefits.
Preliminary results
Project 2: ESLIB
Supplier : AHF - Ateliers du Haut Forez
Solution : Installation of sensors and algorithms on beds already marketed by AHF (a technical feasibility study has already been carried out in a controlled environment).
Need: Assessment of sleep efficiency in the elderly using an intelligent bed equipped with a ballistocardiographic (BCG) sensor.
Tiers-Lieu contribution: A clinical study will have defined the indicators enabling the tool's efficiency to be objectified in comparison with conventional polysomnography. Once the tool's performance has been validated, it can be integrated into the bed and deployed on various experimental sites before being industrialized by AHF.
