What is an economic development agency?

Economic development agencies are structures created on the initiative of local authorities, which help to strengthen the creation of activity and employment on the territory. They act as a link between local authorities, businesses and the State. Their role is to promote job creation, business location, innovation and competitiveness. Their missions include assisting companies with their investment projects, supporting entrepreneurship, networking economic players and promoting the region's strategic sectors.

The CNER helps identify the most relevant territorial agency for each project.
