What is Business France?

Business France is a national public operator dedicated to the international reach of the French economy. It promotes and enhances the appeal of what France, its companies, and its communities have to offer.
Whether for export, investment or international partnerships, Business France's team of 1,500 multicultural professionals in France and 85 offices abroad support the projects of French and international companies from start to finish, with a clear focus on efficiency and results.
Business France's activities are also part of Team France Export, which brings together public and private players working to promote the international reach of French companies (www.teamfrance-export.fr).

Missions

Business France's four main missions are as follows:

  1. Supporting French companies, in particular SMEs and ETIs, in their international development (prioritising markets, finding partners, understanding regulations, setting up operations, etc.)
  2. Seeking out and welcoming foreign investors to France
  3. Promoting the appeal and economic brand of France, its companies and its communities
  4. Managing and developing the International Voluntary Service in Companies (V.I.E).

Business France mobilises its expertise in international markets and the health sector, as well as its network of contacts and its close relations with the diplomatic network to support you in your export development. Our services include (but are not limited to):

  • Understanding the potential of international markets and the keys to accessing them (national regulations for health product approval, local public health policies, etc.)
  • Seeking out and qualifying potential partners (distributors, investors, etc.), which can be done through individual support or through group events (trade fairs such as CES, BIO, Medica, Arab Health, meetings with key accounts, immersive "bootcamp" missions such as the Next French Healthcare programme held each year in the United States with bpifrance, etc.).

At what stage of my project should I contact Business France?

  • When defining your international development project: Setting up your export strategy, financing your export approach, supporting your international sales pitch, etc.
  • In order to validate the potential of a market and to identify the keys to accessing it: Demographics, economic and cultural context, public policies, local and foreign competition, role of medical KOLs as prescribers, etc
  • When testing your value proposition locally: Business France assists French companies in seeking out and qualifying potential partners through a personalised prospecting process
  • During the operational implementation of your export project: How do you get your solution approved in the target market? / What restrictions does the country place on health data management? How is your IP protected? How do you secure a contract with a local partner?
