Discover INS

The INS, or national health identity, constitutes a person's unique and perennial identity. Since January 1, 2021, all health data must be referenced with the INS.

The challenges

To limit errors in the identification of people under care, monitored or accompanied.

For a reliable identity that facilitates the exchange and sharing of healthcare data.

To contribute to the quality of care and the safety of care.

To enable the accelerated deployment of digital exchange and sharing services in the healthcare sector.

How does it work?

What is INS? How does it work? What do I have to do?

What is INS?

The INS (Identité Nationale de Santé) is an identity unique to each person, which comes from national reference bases.

How do I get it back?

The INS is retrieved, or verified, via the INSi teleservice implemented by Cnam. Once validated in accordance with current identityovigilance best practices, the INS can be used.

What should I do?

You will develop the call to the INSi teleservice and upgrade your software to best implement INS.
