The Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research have jointly carried out a referencing of initial and continuing training offers in digital health.
The study, highlights a sparse training offer, unevenly distributed between professions and which does not target all the dimensions of digital health.

Initial training in digital health
The study on initial training in digital healthcare lists:
- references to digital health by training course in the existing mock-ups of the 53 health training courses surveyed;
- digital health training modules offered by educational establishments.
The main findings:
- Few modules specific to digital health exist.
- The modules identified mainly provide general digital basics (Office automation-computer tools, C2i).
- Only the medical professions and some paramedical training courses have compulsory digital health modules.
- The majority of digital health training modules represent 1 or 2 ECTS credits.
Continuing education in digital health for healthcare professionals

Training courses awarding university diplomas and masters degrees in digital health
Of the 41 university and master's degrees analyzed, the diagnostic highlights the following:
- 120 hours are taught on average for university degrees, with a high variability between 20h and 200h.
- 52% of digital health continuing education courses are aimed at doctors, even though they represent 10.7% of the working population.
- 24% of digital health training courses are aimed at paramedics, who account for 64.8% of the workforce.
- the skills taught represent as a proportion of digital health skills 54% telehealth, 25% health data, 19% digital health tools and 2% cybersecurity.
Non-degree digital health training
The 122 digital health training courses offered by the training organizations analyzed highlight the following:
- The majority of continuing digital health training courses target healthcare professionals; a small proportion are devoted to social and paramedical workers.
- 15% of digital health continuing education courses are aimed at support functions and facility managers.
- 2/3 of registrations for CPD actions related to digital health focus on telemedicine.
