Publication of the telehealth functional repository
Regulations
21/07/2021
The telemedicine functional repository is extended to include telecare, and becomes the telehealth functional repository.
This functional repository meets the objectives of the "accelerating the digital shift in healthcare" roadmap, and is aimed at any player wishing to develop or acquire telehealth software.
Decree no. 2021-707 of June 3, 2021 on telehealth defines the conditions for implementing and paying for telecare, and extends the use of tele-expertise to all healthcare professionals.
The concept of telehealth now encompasses telemedicine and its 5 acts on the one hand (teleconsultation, teleexpertise, telesurveillance, teleassistance, medical response in the context of medical regulation), and telecare on the other.
The new version of the telehealth functional repository incorporates the following elements:
- addition of the telecare functional repository, co-constructed with healthcare professionals and publishers and put out to public consultation from June 9 to July 9, 2021;
- aligning the teleconsultation and telerexpertise functional repositories with decree no. 2021-707 of June 3, 2021.
Following the various contributions, it seems important to reiterate that this functional repository aims exclusively to define the key functionalities of telehealth software, and to recall or specify the regulatory framework and national issues in which these functionalities must fit.
