What is the Order of Midwives?
The Ordre is a private organization with a public service mission that groups together all midwives practicing in France. Midwives must be registered with the Order in order to practice. It participates in the development of the profession and in discussions on the supply of care.
Missions
- Ensure the maintenance of the principles of morality, probity and competence indispensable to the practice of midwifery.
- See to the observance, by all its members, of the professional duties as well as the rules enacted by the code of ethics.
