What is the National Cancer Institute's Living Lab?
The Institut national du cancer is the French government's agency for health and scientific expertise in cancer, coordinating actions to combat cancer. In its desire to improve the service provided to its audiences (patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, citizens, etc.), the Institut national du cancer set up a Living Lab in July 2020, which should enable all players to meet, exchange and collaborate to find innovative solutions together for the benefit of patients, placing them at the heart of the process.
Missions
The aim of the Living Lab is to offer every player the opportunity to contribute their expertise to develop innovative solutions, adapted to the reality of patients' daily lives, enabling them to live better, during and after the disease. Through its Living Lab, the Institut national du cancer aims to:
- Identify and foster the emergence of innovative solutions based on the issues faced by patients and users of the healthcare system, because they are experts in their experiences;
- Emerge an ecosystem favorable to the development of these innovative solutions immediately beneficial to patients;
- Strengthen and create new links with all its audiences and citizens in order to improve the services it can provide to reduce the burden of illness in everyone's life.
I have a project. How can I get in touch with the Living Lab?
The French National Cancer Institute has made its Living Lab part of a collaborative dynamic. Two services are currently being co-constructed with all stakeholders:
- A site that accelerates and facilitates the connection of players in the fight against cancer who have a project, with players who wish to get involved and share their skills and experience.To take part in this project, fill in the contact form on the site du Living Lab
- A support program for start-ups dedicated to the fight against cancer. To benefit from this program, calls for projects are launched to select as a priority projects with high medical and medico-social value that have a direct (measurable) positive impact on healthcare expenditure, improve the quality of life of patients and their caregivers, facilitate the care pathway, etc.
At what stage of my project should I contact the Living Lab?
