What is the Health Innovation Agency?
The Health Innovation Agency was created to lead interministerial efforts in the field of health innovation and to promote the emergence, development, and dissemination of these innovations.
🎯 Tasks
- Lead and monitor the Health Innovation 2030 Plan (the health component of France 2030, with a budget of €7.5 billion): initiatives, research programs, and funding allocated to support excellence in highly innovative health products, enhance France’s appeal, facilitate market access, and foster strong, productive, and sustainable partnerships between public and private stakeholders;
- Anticipate innovations through health foresight studies to define the future needs of the healthcare system, anticipate their impacts on prevention and care systems, determine how they will be integrated, and identify research priorities;
- Accelerate and transform existing processes to ensure the effective and rapid delivery of innovations to patients and healthcare professionals, from basic research through to dissemination (technology transfer, enhancing the appeal of clinical research, leveraging procurement, etc.);
- Support innovative, high-impact projects deemed strategic; provide guidance to leaders of innovative projects

- Priority Access: For treatments or technological solutions that must go through an established regulatory process;
- Outside the Framework: To support disruptive innovations that do not fit within the current framework (regulatory, cultural, organizational, or financial) and for which adjustments are necessary;
- Scaling Up: To enable innovations that have demonstrated their effectiveness and utility for patients, healthcare delivery, or the healthcare system to be rolled out more rapidly and competitively in France and internationally.
