Digital health barometer

Set up a barometer of the digital health sector

.

What is the objective of the action?

The establishment of a benchmark barometer should enable regular, up-to-date monitoring of the digital health sector ecosystem

.

Who is it for ?

  • The general public
  • All those involved in digital health, in the healthcare, medico-social and social fields
  • .
  • The relays (federations, unions...)
  • Contributing players (service providers required by the main players)

Issues

The digital health industry is still not very mature and includes both well-established "historical" players but also new entrants and many innovative startups.

Numerous qualitative and quantitative studies exist in an attempt to outline the sector and characterize it in terms of economic value, jobs or even the number of services brought to market in particular. However, these studies often have an angle specific to their author, and are often piecemeal and ad hoc.

It therefore seems vital to be able to quantify and monitor the sector on a regular basis.

Description

The implementation of this action will be carried out as follows:

  • Set up a barometer of reference carried by the public authorities;
  • Have aregular update that identifies the evolution of the sector over the years and the impact of the Digital health acceleration strategy's actions;
  • Enrich the barometer over the years with new indicators and gradually put healthcare issues into perspective with the evolution of the industry.
